To further deepen my understanding of the face, I did a facial plastic surgery fellowship in Switzerland (where I also developed a love of chocolate!). What Can I Expect from ADVATx®?

The laser energy from the ADVATx® system is administered in short bursts. You may feel a mild sensation that is similar to snapping a rubber band against your skin. A single treatment session takes about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area. Your skin has a healthier appearance approximately 24 hours after each session. Some skin conditions, such as scars and acne, require multiple sessions to achieve the optimum results.

How is ADVATx® Different from Other Types of Skin Resurfacing?

ADVATx® is the first cosmetic laser system that uses a combination of laser energies that corrects vascular flaws and rejuvenates the skin. Similar laser treatments produce moderate symptoms, such as swelling, that require patients to receive two distinctive treatments during separate appointments.

Recovery from ADVATx®

There is no downtime after your ADVATx® treatment. Your skin may have a slightly red appearance for the first few hours. You should avoid direct sunlight for the first 24 hours. Dr. Taghizadeh recommends that his patients use a high-quality sunscreen that is at least 30 SPF.
