IPL in Phoenix, AZ

The advanced Plasma Pen treatment offers non-surgical skin rejuvenation that can address wrinkles, lines, sagging skin, and many other cosmetic skin issues. What is Plasma Pen?

The Plasma Pen is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that works much like the popular micro needling procedure. The Plasma Pen uses gas to create energy known as plasma, which is essentially a form of electrical energy. This plasma causes micro-injuries on the skin’s surface, without traveling deep enough into the skin to cause any long-term damage. These small injuries trigger a healing response in the body, immediately stimulating the production of collagen. As the body works to heal these injuries, it also rejuvenates the skin, lifting, tightening, and remodeling the skin for a rejuvenated, youthful appearance.

What are the Benefits of the Plasma Pen Treatment?

The Plasma Pen is one of the most advanced skin rejuvenation treatments available, and offers the following benefits:

  • Completely non-invasive
  • Eliminates the need for surgery
  • Lifts and tightens the skin
  • Enhances skin texture and complexion

What Can I Expect from the Plasma Pen Treatment?

Before the Plasma Pen treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the skin. This will numb the skin and reduce any discomfort that may arise during the treatment process. As treatment begins, the handheld Plasma Pen device will be maneuvered around the desired treatment area to deliver plasma energy to the skin. This may cause a stinging or heating sensation in the skin, but most patients find the treatment to be tolerable. We do also offer laughing gas. Most treatments will be completed within 30 minutes, although this can vary depending on the size of the treatment area.

What is the Recovery Period Like After a Plasma Pen Treatment?

After the Plasma Pen treatment, it is common to experience some swelling, bruising and discoloration in the treatment area. You may also experience scabbing of the skin in the treatment area, which typically heals and falls off within a week. While you will be able to resume most activities within a few days of treatment, these symptoms may not completely resolve for a week or two.

What Results Can I Expect from the Plasma Pen Treatment?

The results from the Plasma Pen treatment will become increasingly visible as any side effects fade. While many patients will notice some minor initial results, the majority of results will develop over time as a result of collagen production and implementation. So while you can expect subtle improvements in the weeks following treatment, it may be around three months before the full results of treatment become visible.
