Before and After Pictures
What Can I Expect from CO2 Laser Resurfacing?
During the consultation appointment, Dr. Taghizadeh will describe your entire treatment process that is needed to achieve optimum results with CO2 laser resurfacing. Depending on the type of skin conditions that are being targeted, you may need one or more sessions. After each session, you will notice immediate improvements.
How CO2 Laser Resurfacing Differ from Other Types of Skin Tightening and Resurfacing?
CO2 laser resurfacing is unique amongst other types of skin resurfacing because the procedure removes damaged layers of skin. The treatment is also appropriate for treating the entire surface of the face. Other types of skin resurfacing are designed to target specific problems deeper in the skin.
Recovery from CO2 Laser Resurfacing
You should expect each session for CO2 laser resurfacing to take 30 to 60 minutes, and you can go home immediately after the session. Dr. Taghizadeh may place a dressing over the area to promote healing, protect the skin and prevent infection. The area of skin that is treated will have a slight pinkish hue and may be tender. The skin may also be slightly swollen. Ice packs and non-prescription pain medications will help with any discomfort. You should expect the redness to remain for two to three weeks. Dr. Taghizadeh will provide guidance on the use of moisturizers, make-up, and sunscreens during the recovery period.
What Will CO2 Laser Resurfacing Do for My Skin?
In the weeks following your CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, your skin appears smoother and healthier. You will also see a renewed glow to the skin that you may not have had in many years. If your CO2 laser resurfacing was performed to treat acne, you would have fewer outbreaks and any blemishes that do develop disappear quickly.
