What Is the Procedure for a Brow Lift?
The first step in a brow lift procedure is administering general anesthesia. Being immobile greatly reduces your movements and enables Dr. Taghizadeh to better concentrate on his work. From there, Dr. Taghizadeh will use an endoscopic or coronal incision to perform the brow lift. With an endoscopic incision, he makes a small incision near the hairline and places an endoscope, which is connected to a miniscule camera, inside the skin. Dr. Taghizadeh will maneuver the device around the targeted area to smooth out wrinkles and adjust the position of fat and tissue in the forehead.
With a coronal incision, Dr. Taghizadeh uses a procedure similar to a facelift. He makes a series of tiny incisions from the top of one ear, across the top of the head and over to the other ear. Dr. Taghizadeh will then reposition skin toward the back of the head, smoothing skin down and removing any excess skin as he works.
Regardless of which procedure is used to complete the brow lift, Dr. Taghizadeh will close the incisions with unnoticeable sutures, surgical tape, clips or a medical adhesive, depending on the circumstances.
Brow Lift Recovery
After a brow lift, your forehead may be loosely dressed to minimize swelling and bruising. You will be instructed to keep your head elevated and refrain from engaging in any vigorous physical activities. Do not use ice or heat on the brow lift area. Within two weeks most patients can return to work and their normal daily routine.
Is a Brow Lift Right for Me?
A traditional brow lift procedure involves larger incisions located by the hairline. An endoscopic brow lift surgery uses a series of much smaller, unnoticeable incisions, placed around the same area.
Where Are The Incisions Located For A Brow Lift?
Will I Have Scars After My Forehead Lift?
A brow lift typically involves invisible or mostly unnoticeable scars, most of which are hidden by your hairline.
