Procedure

Procedure

A facelift is a great way to reverse the visible effects of aging on your face to create a younger, more rejuvenated appearance. Board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Farhan Taghizadeh, at Arizona Facial Plastics, PC, has years of experience helping both men and women who live in and around Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the surrounding communities of Arizona achieve a better and more youthful appearance at any age.

What is a Facelift?

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the United States. Its job is to reshape the skin and muscles around the face to provide more definition, smoother contours or simply a more youthful appearance. The procedure can either be performed on its own or in conjunction with other procedures, such as liposuction or dermal filler injections, to create a more complete makeover.

Benefits of a Facelift

Facelifts tighten and smooth out sagging skin to make the face appear younger and healthier. This can include the lower face and jowls, double chin or sagging skin around the jaw. It can also eliminate wrinkles, creases, laugh lines, crow’s feet and other common signs of aging. The surgeon may also choose to transfer fat from one part of the body, such as the stomach or thighs, and inject it into certain areas of the face to fill in gaps and create a fuller overall look.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Facelift?

How do you know if a facelift is right for you? If you’re a healthy adult who wants to eliminate loose or sagging skin and reverse the signs of aging around your facial area, then you might want to consider a facelift. It can also help to improve:

  • Loose or sagging skin in the middle of your face
  • Sagging jowls or skin around the jawline
  • Fat deposits or sagging skin beneath your chin, which can create a double chin or turkey neck.

Dr. Taghizadeh will sit down with you and examine your facial features to determine whether or not a facelift procedure is right for you. Some important factors include:

  • Your skin’s overall condition: Your skin needs to be at least somewhat flexible and elastic in order for the procedure to be most effective.
  • Your bone structure: During a facelift procedure a lot of your face’s fat and tissue is moved around or relocated. Your face’s overall bone structure needs to be able to support the shifting.
  • Your health: If you have poor overall health or a preexisting medical condition you might not be a good candidate for facial surgery. For any major surgery, it’s important that you be in good health, not only for the procedure itself, but to aid in recovery after it’s finished.
  • Your Expectations of the Results: The results of facelift procedures vary from patient to patient. In order to get maximum satisfaction from the surgery, it’s essential that you go in with realistic expectations of what the procedure can do for you and what you’ll look like once it’s complete.

The Facelift Procedure

For many patients, a facelift is one of the safest and easiest ways to smooth wrinkles, erase fine lines and obtain an overall more youthful appearance. The procedure begins with anesthetic. Dr. Taghizadeh usually recommends a general dosage to ensure that you sleep during the surgery. However, some patients prefer to be alert and awake, so you may discuss your options with the doctor.

After anesthetic is administered, Dr. Taghizadeh continues the facelift surgery by making an incision at one temple line. From there, he continues the incision onto the area just above the ear and then circles around the earlobe and returns back to the point of the initial incision. Dr. Taghizadeh will gently move the skin outward for repositioning and tightening, smoothing out the surface. If necessary, he may excise excess fat or skin. Finally, the doctor will close the incision with fine sutures, leaving you with a rejuvenated, younger looking face.

Revision Facelift

If you’ve had a previous facelift and the results are proving unsatisfactory or otherwise problematic, Dr. Taghizadeh can perform revision surgery to help correct the previous procedure. A revision surgery takes special care and an expert hand to carry out correctly and provide a lasting, natural look in the end, but Dr. Taghizadeh is qualified for the job.

There are two basic ways a facelift surgery can cause problems: Under-treated surgeries don’t last very long and can cause the skin to start sagging again after a while or wrinkles and lines to reappear. Over-treated surgeries, on the other hand, make the skin too tight and leave the patient’s face with a hollow, sunken look. Both of these issues can damage and distort a person’s appearance.

Mini Facelift

mini facelift is smaller in scope and less invasive than a full facelift. Incisions are made in the same places, but they’re smaller and less noticeable. A mini facelift generally targets a single area, such as the cheek muscles or the neck. It’s a more minor surgical procedure, and recovery is generally quicker.

Facelift Recovery

After a facelift procedure, you can expect a short period of recovery and possible bruising or slight swelling. Dr. Taghizadeh will explain how to use ice packs around different areas of your face to reduce swelling. This can greatly reduce some of the discomfort you may experience. In addition, the doctor will recommend that you rest for at least two days after the surgery. During this time, it’s wise to eat and drink lightly, such as broths, soups, and clear beverages. It’s possible that the anesthesia can impact your appetite and digestion, making you feel slightly nauseated when consuming solid foods. Some patients are comfortable with heavier foods within a few days after the facelift procedure.

In general, you should take it easy for a few days after the facelift in order to speed up your recovery. Patients are usually able to return to work and normal daily activities within a week or so.

How Long Does A Face Lift Last?

It’s important to note that a facelift only reverses the physical effects of aging on your face. It does not stop the aging process altogether. Therefore, even after you’ve had a facelift, the effects of aging may still continue to wear on your face after a while. Your face may lose elasticity with age, as well as suffer the ill effects of smoking, weight loss or gain, sun damage and more. All of these things may negatively impact the results of your facelift over time. Once your skin has been rejuvenated, it’s important to keep it looking young and healthy for as long as possible. This means proper skin care, sunscreen, a healthy diet and lifestyle and avoiding smoking and other harmful behaviors. This will help your facelift to last longer and keep you looking young for years to come.

Most insurance companies consider plastic surgery to be an elective procedure and do not offer coverage for these procedures; a facelift treatment is usually excluded from policies. In order to make these procedures and other plastic surgeries financially accessible and affordable, Arizona Facial Plastics, PC accepts cash, checks and credit cards. In addition, financing is offered through CareCredit®. If you have any questions about the facelift procedure, recovery, costs or financing options at Arizona Facial Plastics, PC, please give us a call.

Frequently asked questions

What does an eye lift do?

An eye life, sometimes called a blepharoplasty, is designed to correct the sagging, dropping, or puffy appearance of the upper or lower eyelids. This results in a more youthful and energetic appearance. It can also help correct vision problems caused by sagging skin.

How painful is eyelid lift surgery?

Eyelid lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia, so you will not feel a thing. The recovery can be a little uncomfortable, but any pain can easily be managed with over-the-counter pain medication and gentle cold compresses.

How much does it cost to lift your eyes?

The cost of an eye lift surgery will depend on several factors, including whether you are having your upper or lower of both lids lifted, the extent of correction, and other personal factors like anesthesia. On average, a blepharoplasty procedure costs around $3,800.

How long does an eye lift last?

The results of an eyelid lift will last for an average of 5-7 years. How quickly you age, whether you had your lower or upper eyelids done, and your specific lifestyle habits can all influence the longevity of your results.

Who is a good candidate for an eye lift?

Good candidates for an eyelid lift include individuals seeking to address concerns such as heavy eyelids, sagging skin, and drooping eyelids. Candidates may experience vision problems or other irritating eye conditions as a result of their dropping eyelids and find extensive relief with eyelid lift surgery.

How long does a brow lift last?

A brow lift can last anywhere from 5-12 years.

How much does it cost to lift your eyebrows?

The cost of a brow lift can vary widely depending on factors such as the surgeon’s experience, geographic location, and specific technique used, but it generally ranges from $3,000 to $8,000. It’s important to consult with a qualified surgeon to get an accurate estimate based on your individual needs.

What does a brow lift do?

A brow lift raises and tightens the forehead skin, reducing wrinkles and elevating drooping eyebrows to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance. It can also improve the look of frown lines and sagging skin above the eyes.

Can a brow lift fix hooded eyes?

A brow lift can help improve the appearance of hooded eyes, but it is not a cure-all procedure. Those with heavily hooded eyes may need a secondary surgery to correct their appearance.

Is a brow lift painful?

Discomfort following your brow lift is common, but it can be effectively controlled with pain medication prescribed by your provider. Any pain or discomfort usually subsides after a few days to a week.

Whats the difference between an endoscopic and traditional brow lift?

An endoscopic brow lift is less invasive, using 3-5 small incisions and a camera for guidance. It has a shorter recovery time of about one week. A traditional (coronal) brow lift involves a longer incision across the scalp, allowing for more extensive repositioning of tissues. It has a longer recovery time of several weeks but may provide more dramatic results for some patients.

How soon can I wash my hair after a brow lift?

You can typically wash your hair a few days after the procedure, once your bandages have been removed. Your surgeon will provide specific instructions, but generally, you should be able to shower and wash your hair within 2-3 days post-surgery.

Will a brow lift affect my hairline?

A brow lift can potentially affect your hairline, especially with a traditional (coronal) technique. In some cases, the forehead may be lengthened or shortened as needed. An endoscopic approach typically has less impact on the hairline. Discuss any concerns about your hairline with your surgeon during the consultation.

How long before I see the final results of my brow lift?

While you’ll notice improvements within the first few weeks, the final results of a brow lift may take several months to become fully apparent. Swelling continues to subside, and tissues settle into their new position over time. Most patients see significant improvement by 2-3 months post-surgery, with final results visible around 6 months.

When can I resume exercise after a brow lift?

It’s important to avoid strenuous activities, including exercise, for at least 2-4 weeks following a brow lift. Your surgeon will provide specific guidelines based on your individual recovery progress. Light activities can usually be resumed within 10-14 days.

Are Cheek Implants Right for Me?

Cheek implants may be a smart option for anyone who would like to improve a dull, sunken appearance due to hollow cheek structure. The surgery is ideal for candidates who have ill-defined cheeks and those with a lack of fat in the face. The results may not be instantaneous, but you will notice a tremendous transformation once the minor swelling subsides, the incisions heal and the implants settle. If you experience any problems, Dr. Taghizadeh is always available by phone to address your concerns. Most patients report few or minimal side effects, but it’s normal to experience some swelling and slight discomfort for a few days after the cheek implant procedure.

What Is The Difference Between Malar Augmentation And Submalar Augmentation?

Malar augmentation is a cosmetic surgery that enhances the looks of the cheekbones by filling in hollow spots with implant material. Submalar augmentation fills in the areas adjacent to the most prominent portion of the cheek, in an area where patients may develop hollowing due to age and other conditions.

Are There Any Adjustments I Need To Make To My Lifestyle After Cheek Augmentation?

Dr. Taghizadeh will provide specific instructions following your cheek implant surgery, and it’s critical that you understand and follow them carefully. You may have to go without makeup during the recovery process to prevent infections and other complications. For two weeks after the procedure, you should eat soft food and limit your activities while your cheeks heal.

What materials are commonly used for cheek implants?

Cheek implants are typically made from solid silicone, porous polyethylene (Medpor), or Gore-Tex. Each material has its own advantages and considerations. Silicone implants are soft and flexible, while Medpor encourages tissue integration for a more permanent result.

How long does recovery from cheek implant surgery typically take?

Most patients can return to their regular activities after about one week, though full recovery may take 4-6 weeks. Initial swelling and bruising usually subside within the first two weeks, but it can take several months for the final results to become fully apparent.

Are cheek implants permanent?

While cheek implants are considered a long-term solution, they are not necessarily permanent. Silicone implants can be easily removed if desired, while Medpor implants integrate with the surrounding tissue, making them more difficult to remove but also more stable over time.

Will cheek implants affect my ability to eat or speak?

Initially, you may need to stick to a soft diet for about a week after surgery. Most patients can resume normal eating and speaking within 1-2 weeks. Your surgeon will provide specific guidelines based on your individual case.

How are cheek implants inserted?

Cheek implants are typically inserted through small incisions made either inside the mouth where the cheek meets the upper gum, or through the lower eyelid. The specific technique will depend on the type of implant and your surgeons preference.

What types of chin implants are available for chin augmentation?

Chin implants are typically made of silicone and come in various sizes and shapes to match the patient’s preferences and aesthetic goals. Some surgeons also offer an autologous approach, using bone from the patient’s rib or pelvic area as an implant.

Can chin augmentation be combined with other facial procedures?

Yes, chin augmentation is often combined with other procedures for enhanced results. It’s commonly performed alongside rhinoplasty to improve facial harmony, or with neck liposuction to further define the jawline.

Whats the difference between chin augmentation and chin reduction surgery?

Chin augmentation involves placing an implant to enhance an under-projected chin, while chin reduction surgery (or chin shaving) removes excess bone to reduce a prominent or over-projected chin.

Where are the incisions made for chin augmentation?

Incisions for chin augmentation are typically made in one of two locations: either underneath the chin or inside the mouth where the lower lip meets the gum. These placement options help conceal any potential scarring.

Is chin augmentation performed under local or general anesthesia?

Chin augmentation can be performed under either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The choice often depends on factors such as the patient’s preference, overall health, procedure complexity, and the surgeon’s recommendation.

Is A Chin Augmentation Right for Me?

The decision to undergo a chin augmentation procedure is personal and depends upon your goals and motivations. An ideal candidate for this surgery is someone who feels they have a weak or small chin. Other patients opt for chin implants to correct a misshapen chin line due to a birth defect or injury, which impacts their appearance and ultimately overall attractiveness.

How long does a chin augmentation last?

The longevity of chin augmentation depends on the method used. If performed with a chin implant, the results can last a lifetime as implants are made of durable materials like silicone and do not require replacement unless complications arise. However, if the procedure is done with dermal fillers, the results typically last between 12 to 24 months, depending on the type of filler used.

Are there side effects of getting chin augmentation?

Like any surgical procedure, chin augmentation has potential side effects. Common temporary side effects include swelling, bruising, numbness in the chin or lower lip, and mild discomfort. Rare complications may include implant movement, infection, scarring, or asymmetry. In some cases, patients may experience prolonged numbness or dissatisfaction with their new facial proportions.

How much does chin augmentation cost?

The cost of chin augmentation varies based on the technique used. Chin implants typically range from $3,000 to $5,000, including anesthesia and surgical fees. For non-surgical options like dermal fillers, costs range from $600 to $1,200 per session. While fillers are less expensive initially, they require maintenance every 1-2 years, which can add up over time.

How long is chin augmentation recovery?

Recovery from chin augmentation generally takes several weeks. Most patients can return to non-strenuous activities within 1 week and resume their full routine after 4-6 weeks. Swelling and bruising are common during the first few days but gradually subside over time. Sutures placed inside the mouth typically dissolve on their own, while external sutures may need removal after about 10 days.

How long before I see results?

Initial results from chin augmentation are visible within 2-3 weeks as swelling begins to subside. However, it can take up to 6 weeks for swelling to fully resolve and for the final results to become apparent. For filler-based augmentations, results are immediate but may improve slightly as swelling diminishes.

How long does a facelift usually last?

Facelift results last at least 10-15 years. To achieve the longest-lasting results, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and use quality skincare products or cosmetic treatments to preserve your healthy, youthful skin.

What is the best age to have a facelift?

Since everyone ages differently, there is no “right” age for a facelift. We commonly see patients in their 40s-60s, but younger patients can consider the mini facelift to address early signs of aging.

What is included in a full facelift?

A full facelift procedure reshapes the skin and muscles in the lower two-thirds of the face for a more youthful appearance. This procedure can also be combined with other procedures, such as liposuction or dermal fillers, to further improve the appearance of the face.

How long is facelift recovery?

Ultimately, downtime depends on the extent of the facelift procedure. However, patients can generally return to work and normal activities within a week or so.

Is a facelift painful?

Facelift surgery is typically performed under IV Sedation supervised by a Doctor of Anesthesia at Arizona Facial Plastics, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. After surgery, mild to moderate discomfort is common for a few days but can be alleviated with pain medications and compression garment.

What does a face lift include?

Additional anti-aging procedures like a neck lift, eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), or brow lift can be included with your facelift procedure for more dramatic changes and comprehensive results.

Who is not a good candidate for a facelift?

Patients with underlying medical conditions or an allergy to anesthesia are not good candidates for facelift surgery. Patients should also be non-smokers or committed to no nicotine or nicotine products for at least six weeks before surgery and for at least two weeks post-surgery.

How long does fat transfer last?

Results from a fat transfer are designed to last a lifetime. Some fat cells may not survive the transfer process, and it can take up to six months to see the final results, as this is when the transferred cells will develop their own blood supply.

What is the downside to fat transfer?

A fat transfer is a great way to experience the benefits of sculpting and contouring in multiple areas of the body during one treatment. A downside, however, is that the procedure can involve an uncomfortable recovery period as it is quite invasive.

What is the ideal weight for fat transfer?

It is recommended that patients be less than 30% over their ideal body weight and have a BMI of at least 22. This will ensure you do not have to gain or lose any weight leading up to your procedure.

What is the best age for fat transfer?

There is no one best age to have a fat transfer done. The most important requirement is that you are in good overall health and do not have any conditions that may cause complications during your procedure and recovery.

Who is the best candidate for fat transfer?

The best candidate for a fat transfer is any individual who desires to enhance other areas, such as the face, breasts, or buttocks, using their own natural fat. Ideal candidates should be in good health, have realistic expectations, and seek a natural-looking enhancement.

How long will a mini facelift last?

On average a mini facelift provides results that last for up to ten years. Some patients may experience results that last beyond ten years.

What is the downside of a mini facelift?

There are not many downsides to having a mini facelift. They generally require fewer incisions and cause less scarring than other facelift procedures, but they do require the use of sedation, which may not be ideal for all candidates.

What is the best age for a mini facelift?

A mini facelift is typically performed on patients aged 40-55. The best age for the procedure is the age when you desire the aesthetic and emotional benefits of this plastic surgery.

How does the recovery time for a mini facelift compare to a traditional facelift?

A mini facelift typically has a shorter recovery time compared to a traditional facelift. While a full facelift may require 4-5 weeks of recovery, mini facelift patients often need only 3-5 days before returning to normal activities. Some even refer to it as a “weekend facelift” because patients can have the procedure on Friday and return to work on Monday.

What type of anesthesia is used for a mini facelift?

Mini facelifts are often performed under twilight anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. This is in contrast to full facelifts, which typically require general anesthesia. The use of lighter anesthesia contributes to the quicker recovery time and reduced costs associated with mini facelifts.

How long does the mini facelift procedure typically take?

A mini facelift procedure usually takes about two to two and a half hours. This is shorter than a full facelift, which can take around three hours or more.

Can a mini facelift address neck sagging?

A mini facelift primarily focuses on the lower face and jawline area. It doesn’t address the neck or sagging in the midface as comprehensively as a full facelift. If significant neck sagging is a concern, a full facelift or neck lift might be more appropriate.

How does the cost of a mini facelift compare to a full facelift?

Mini facelifts generally cost less than full facelifts. This is due to several factors, including shorter surgical time, less complex procedure, and the use of twilight anesthesia instead of general anesthesia. The reduced facility costs and surgeon fees contribute to the overall lower price of a mini facelift.

Are you awake during a mini facelift?

In most cases, a mini facelift is done under local anesthesia with sedation. This allows you to remain comfortable during the procedure without being completely asleep.

Is otoplasty painful?

Otoplasty typically involves minimal discomfort, and any pain after surgery can be managed with prescribed medication.

How long does otoplasty last?

Otoplasty results are permanent, lasting a lifetime once the ears have been reshaped.

What does an otoplasty do?

Otoplasty reshapes or repositions the ears to correct protrusion, asymmetry, or other aesthetic concerns.

Who is the best candidate for otoplasty surgery?

The best candidates are healthy individuals, typically children or adults, who have prominent or misshapen ears and wish to improve their appearance.

What is the best age for an otoplasty?

Otoplasty can be performed as early as age 5 or 6 when the ears are fully developed, although it can be done at any age.

How common is a facelift revision?

Facelift revision is relatively common among patients who want to touch up their facelift results years after the first surgery. Facelift revisions of other doctors are also performed at AZFP because of the level of expertise of Dr. Taghizadeh and of course his experience, with over 5,000 procedures performed by him.

What is the recovery time for a revision facelift?

After a revision facelift, patients should plan to rest and recover at home for about one week. During this time, swelling and discomfort will significantly reduce. After 1-2 weeks, patients can return to work and light activities but should avoid strenuous exercise for about six weeks.

What is the best age for a revision facelift?

Since every patient ages differently, there is no right age for a revision facelift procedure. Anyone who is bothered by the results of their previous facelift procedure can consider a revision facelift surgery.

Are there any specific risks associated with revision facelifts compared to primary facelifts?

Yes, revision facelifts can carry additional risks. These may include increased scarring due to operating on previously scarred tissue, a higher risk of skin necrosis due to compromised blood supply from the previous surgery, and potentially less dramatic results due to limitations in tissue manipulation. It’s crucial to discuss these risks thoroughly with your surgeon.

Can a revision facelift address issues like asymmetry or poor scarring from the initial surgery?

Yes, a revision facelift can often address these issues. Skilled surgeons can correct asymmetry by re-draping the skin and underlying tissues more evenly. Poor scarring can be improved by carefully excising old scars and using advanced closure techniques. However, the extent of improvement depends on the specific case and the skill of the surgeon.

What techniques are commonly used in revision facelifts to achieve natural-looking results?

Revision facelifts often employ more conservative techniques to avoid an over-operated look. These may include: SMAS (Superficial Musculo-Aponeurotic System) manipulation for deeper tissue support Fat grafting to restore lost volume Endoscopic techniques for minimal scarring Careful skin re-draping to avoid tension and achieve a natural look

How do I choose the right surgeon for my revision facelift?

Choosing the right surgeon for a revision facelift is crucial. Look for: Board certification in plastic surgery Extensive experience specifically with revision facelifts Before and after photos of their revision work Positive patient testimonials A surgeon who thoroughly explains the procedure, risks, and realistic expectations Someone you feel comfortable with and trust It’s often advisable to seek a different surgeon than the one who performed your initial facelift, to get a fresh perspective and potentially different techniques.

Does Revision Rhinoplasty Result In Scars?

For a closed rhinoplasty, there are no visible scars because the incisions are made on the interior of the nose. In an open rhinoplasty procedure, a tiny white line will be visible on the tip of the nose, but it will fade over time.

Where Are The Incisions Made For Revision Rhinoplasty?

The two incision points most commonly utilized in revision rhinoplasties are the interior of the nose and the tip of the nose. The procedure is termed a “closed rhinoplasty” if the incisions are made inside the nose, while incisions made on the tip of the nose are referred to as an “open rhinoplasty.”

How Is Revision Rhinoplasty Performed?

Before the surgery, Dr. Taghizadeh will administer anesthesia so you’ll experience minimal discomfort. He will perform one of two primary types of revision rhinoplasty: Closed: There are no external incisions so you won’t have visible scarring from the procedure. Instead, an internal incision will be made just inside the nostril. Open: If Dr. Taghizadeh determines that an open procedure is best to obtain optimal results, he will make a very small incision on the tip of the nose. In some cases, the doctor may require additional cartilage to repair your nose due to problems with your previous procedure. Finally, Dr. Taghizadeh will reshape and reposition bones, cartilage, and other material to widen the nasal passages if you have breathing issues.

What Type Of Anesthesia Is Used For Revision Rhinoplasty?

Most revision rhinoplasties are done with general anesthesia so you will not be awake for the procedure. If you like, you can discuss options for a local anesthetic and sedative with Dr. Taghizadeh.

Rhinoplasty results are permanent, as long as the nose is not injured after surgery. It’s important to recognize that final results can take up to one year to develop as the interior nasal tissues heal.

What is the best age for rhinoplasty?

Although there is no “right” age for rhinoplasty surgery, patients should wait until the nose is fully developed. This is typically around age 17 for women and age 18 for men.

What is scar revision?

Scar revision is a specialized procedure used to improve the appearance of surgical scars, acne scars, and stretch marks on the face and body. The most common treatment option is laser skin resurfacing, but Dr. Taghizadeh may recommend other procedures depending on the type of severity of scars you hope to treat.

Scar revision is minimally painful and requires little downtime with non-invasive methods like laser resurfacing. Patients may have mild swelling, redness, and tenderness that can be easily managed with over-the-counter pain medication.

How long is the recovery on scar revision surgery?

After surgical scar revision, patients should avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting for at least three weeks. However, you can return to work and most daily activities after 1-2 weeks. Apply sunscreen and avoid excess sun exposure to protect the healing area.

What are the disadvantages of scar revision?

Complications from scar revision are rare, especially when the procedure is performed by an expert plastic surgeon like Dr. Taghizadeh. However, patients should have realistic expectations for the procedure since it can be difficult to completely eliminate certain types of scarring.

When is the best time to do scar revision?

Patients should wait to receive scar revision until the scar is fully healed; this takes about 6-12 months. A healed scar is typically light in color and has shrunk in size.

Will Everyone Benefit from Acne Scar Treatment?

Microneedling and CO2 laser resurfacing are safe for patients of all ages. Certain medical conditions and medications may place you at higher risk for developing unwanted side effects. To prevent this, Dr. Taghizadeh will review your medical history as well as any conditions that you are currently treating.

What Will Acne Scar Treatment Do for My Skin?

The techniques used by Dr. Taghizadeh target the acne scar while preserving the surrounding skin. With each treatment, the acne scar has a smoother appearance and texture. Eventually, you will have to look closely to find your acne scar.

How Much Difference Will I See with Acne Scar Treatment?

Scar tissue is very different when compared to normal skin so acne scar treatment may require several sessions to achieve the desired results. With each treatment, you will see a scar that blends better with surrounding skin both in color and texture.

Will Everyone Benefit from Acne Treatment?

As an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Taghizadeh has the professional insight you need to find the right acne treatment for your skin. He is able to customized treatment plans to the unique needs of each patient, and he carefully monitors your progress, making adjustments as needed.

What Can I Expect from Acne Treatment?

The first step in your acne treatment is a skin analysis by Dr. Taghizadeh. He will closely examine your skin, and ask about your current skin care routine.
